How do I rent a storage space for my boat, rv, travel trailer, 5th wheel, or motorhome?
You can easily get started here online or give us a call at 972-734-2250. If it is not during office hours, just leave us a message and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

How do I know what size space I need?
You need to know the overall length of your recreational vehicle and / or any trailer (including tongue length, ladders, etc.) and rent the next size up. It should be shorter than the length that you are renting to avoid extending past the front of the building. If you rent a space that doesn’t accommodate the length, you will be required to move to the appropriate sized space to avoid damage to yours or other vehicles.

What documentation is needed in order to rent a space?
To rent a space, you must provide proof of ownership (registration, title, or Bill of Sale), proof of insurance, and a valid driver’s license. These can be uploaded when renting online or copied if renting in person.

Do you offer discounts for military and /or first responders?
We offer a 5% discount for all active military, first responders, and veterans. We greatly appreciate all you do! Please be sure to let us know if you fall into these categories.

Do I have to sign a long-term lease for a storage unit?
All of our storage units are rented on month-to-month contracts with no long-term commitment. We do require a deposit at the time of sign-up that is refundable after 3 months, provided certain criteria are met. Rent on all spaces is due on the 1st of each month.

How do I get my deposit back?
Your deposit is refundable after your move-out if you have rented for at least 3 months, given 30 days advance written notice, moved out on time, are current on rent, left the space clean, undamaged, and empty, and have removed your lock if it was an enclosed unit.

How do I pay for my boat or RV storage?
You can pay online by credit card by logging into your account online or by using the gate / payment app, set up autopay, or send a check to 2389 FM982, Princeton, TX 75407. Make sure that if you are setting up payment through your bank, you allow 7-10 days for us to receive payment. All payments are due in the office by the first of each month, so you’ll need to schedule it to go out earlier.

Can I view the unit before I rent it?
Yes! You can call us at 972-734-2250 or email us at storage@agreatstorageplace.com to set up an appointment to view the facility and your potential unit. Be sure to browse our Gallery to look over the facility as well.

Do you have an on-site manager?
Yes, we have a manager that lives on-site. Our facility is fenced, the gate is accessed by personalized code, there are state-of-the-art cameras throughout the property, and the driveways are well lit at night.

How do I access my boat, travel trailer, camper, or motorhome?
Our facility is accessible to current customers 24/7 using your personalized gate code and / or the mobile app. A Great Storage Place for Boats & RVs is fully fenced and lighted in case you get back after dark. You must use your gate code for entrance as well as exit.

How wide are the driveways?
Our driveways are designed for ease of maneuvering your big rigs. We designed them to be 70’-74’ wide so that you have room to back into your space as efficiently as possible. We know that backing a trailer is not the easiest thing to do!

Do the covered storages have a back wall?
Yes! You are protected from the elements on 3 sides.

If I am renting an enclosed space, who provides the lock?
You will need to bring a padlock with you if you are renting an enclosed unit. We recommend one with a code rather than a key (keys tend to get lost or break off in the lock). We also recommend using a lock with a longer shank to allow for movement in the doors. We do not recommend disc-type locks, as they tend to bind up causing the lock to not open or the key to break off while trying to open it. Unfortunately, we do not sell locks.

Do you have someone you can recommend for RV / camper repairs?
Many of our clients have used Ryan’s RV Repair for a variety of reasons. Feel free to reach out to him at 469-625-6535 or check out his website at www.ryansrvrepair.com . You will see his mobile RV van on the property quite often and we have used him ourselves. Of course, you are welcome to use any mobile repair service as long as they are insured.

Can we wash our camper or boat on-site?
You may employ a mobile wash service with advance approval, but MAY NOT have the unit washed while inside the building. We have a certain spot where we allow this, but it must be approved first so as not to impede incoming or outgoing customers.
